New Hire Onboarding Procedure and Timeline

The onboarding process starts after a job offer has been finalized and approved by the client. Below is a summary of each key phase and typical timelines:

1. Job Offer Phase: Once the offer is finalized and approved by the client, it can be sent to the candidate within 24 hours on business days.

2. Onboarding Phase: 7-14 business days. This involves processing, collecting, and reviewing key and secondary requirements such as NBI clearance, Fit to Work results, and government numbers. These three items often take considerable time to complete.

Common Causes of Delay:

  • NBI: Employee encounters 'HIT' status or chooses delivery instead of pickup.

  • PEME: Appointment scheduling is needed to secure Fit to Work clearance and/or additional lab results, often due to existing or underlying health issues.

  • Government Numbers: First-time applications for fresh graduates or records discrepancies requiring further documentation and in-person appearance.

3. Contract Phase: Once requirements are completed, the employment contract can be sent to the candidate within 24 hours on business days, with an additional 24 hours needed for the candidate to review and sign.
